Chapter One
* In this chapter we learn that Maycomb was an old town. In Maycomb at that place was no hurry, for there was no where to go, nothing to buy and no money to buy it with. We learn that Atticus Finch who is a lawyer and father to Scout and Jem
* We leant that dill is a young male child who is living next door to the Finchs every summertime with his aunt Miss Rachel. Dill is from Meridian, Mississippi. Dills mother is a lensman and we also learnt that the Radly lead fascinates Dill.
* When Arthur Boo Radly was in his teens he was in a gang and got arrested and Mr Connor locked him in the court- house outhouse. The judge send the boys to industrial coach but not Boo, Mr Radly took him home and kept him there. Boo was sitting in the living- room cutting up some items for his scrapbook, when he drove the scissors into his parents leg, pulled them out, wiped them on his pants and resumed his activities. Mr Radly insisted that Boo should not be supercharged with anything: he was not a criminal. Boo was locked up in the court-house basement, if Mr Radly didnt take him back he would die from the make in the place, Mr Radly took him back to the house, and that is where he stayed.
* The Radly Place fascinated Scout, Jem and Dill because they have heard so much about The Radly Place and Boo but they have never actually seen it for themselves so they were curious to see if the legends are true or not.
* The memoir voice is in a childs office and is based on a childs sales booth not a adults.
Chapter Two
* Scout was looking forward to school because she was in the first grade, having a new teacher, new program members but most of all looking forward to vie in the playground- learning new games and having fun.
