The witches prophecies corresponds to the ambitions of Lady Macbeth, but the witches prophecies hold even greater value because they are concrete and cannot be changed. If the witches had not revealed their prophecy, there would not exact been a reason for Lady Macbeth and her husband to plot against Duncan.
