The center Abuse Subtle check inventorying is referred to as the SASSI. Dr. Glenn A. Miller developed the SASSI for a screening questionnaire to con if people keep back a high likelihood of midpoint dependence disorder. Dr. Glenn Miller dreamed of owning his own business and qualification it grow and thrive. The business opened and was close to where the family lived. Dr. Miller and his wife called their new business Quest for Camelot. In 1967 Dr. Miller clear his Ph.D. from Illinois University in Clinical Psychology where he specialized in assessment. Several stratums later Dr. Miller was working as a consultant to the court system. He was the first to represent the federally funded DWI program. He was faced with a complicated paradox when assessing due to the fact that there was more DWI offenders then he expected. He needed to develop an assessment that would be to the point, prey and precise. Dr. Miller wanted an assessment that would help individuals that may have a substance abuse problem so they could be referred for further treatment.

In 1988 and after eight-teen years of clinical research, the Substance Abuse Subtle
Screening Inventory was confirmed as an efficient and easy to use assessment tool. That same
year the SASSI Institute was developed. The SASSI Institute was established to help
human religious service with the substance abuse problems, since many substance abusers in the condemnable
justice system will not report the tout ensemble truth of their use. Something was needed to help
detect if there was a substance problem.
The adult Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory has been modified twice since it
