“Looking for Alaska”_

The piece of work that I moderate chosen to do about my fabrication that I read is a book review.
Last term I chose to read the book “Looking for Alaska” by John blue jet; which I found to be a powerful and emotionally twisting book. This is why; out of all the books I have read in the past 6 months, that I chose to do my assignment on this one.
This novel is divided into two sections: “ forrader” and “After”. Mile’s school year is compromised of exactly 136 age before and after Alaska’s death.
This is one of the prototypal things you notice about the book when you open it; the headings of each chapter. With them name as dates, E.g. “one hundred and thirty six days before” and so on. This pass aways the reader intrigued and left wondering what happened.
The novel begins with the main character Miles “Pudge” Halters- (The novels protagonist, whose passion is learning peoples last words) spill away party that his parents are throwing for him, as he has chose to leave his life behind to attend Culver Creek boarding school. Whose abstract thought for going is that; in the last words of Francois Rabelais’s; “I go to seek a great perhaps”.

Pudge’s feelings for Alaska grow as the story progresses, but as she is dating a boy from another school, he sees his situation as hopeless. However; with Alaska making subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) comments on how she finds him attractive. Even so, she introduces Pudge to a girl in his maths class, the shy Romanian Lara Buterskaya, who becomes his girlfriend after Pudge, Lara, Alaska, The Colonel and Takumi play a “pre-prank” against the Weekday Warriors.
