Biography of H.P LoveCraft Lovecraft was born the 20th of august 1890 at on the dot 9:00 a.m. in Providence, Rhode Island while still in his home. He was a lonely child of Winfield Scott Lovecraft and Sarah Susan Phillips Lovecraft. When Lovecraft reached the age of three, his father became psychotic while on a business trip in Chicago. They believe that Winfield died from tertiary syphilis, which is a sexually transmitted disease caused by spirochaete bacteria.
