Discuss the structure of Beowulf. Most critics view the poem as either having ii- split or collar-parts. What do you think?

Many literary critics who have read Beowulf would say that this epic was divided into two parts. The first part dealing with young Beowulfs push to belabor the monster Grendel who has been creating havoc in Herot Hall and afterwards also defeating Grendels baffle who requested to avenge the cleanup spot of her son. The second part of the plot dealt with Beowulf becoming an Old world-beater and having to face a furious dragon in battle. However, the defeat of Grendel, his mother, and the dragon is must to be considered into three separate parts because they were the main critical encounters Beowulf faced during this story.
During the first half of the story, Beowulf has conquered Grendels purpose of destroying the Danes by quickly killing him in battle. Though, also the execution of Grendels mother and as it being a significant event should be recalled as one of three parts to the story. The division of three parts to this story is ground on the character encounter of which Beowulf had battled, first Grendel, then his mother, and in the end the dragon. In each of these three parts, Beowulf had made a parade in advance each of his battles.



He would analyze his decision to go against each opponent and show the Pagan characteristic of valour through his words saying that he would experience supremacy in the end. First example, in Part II before he sought Grendel, he stated I codt claim myself any lower in military group or brave deeds than Grendel...and wise God, that ability, shall choose who shall derive glory. Secondly in Part 6, before Beowulf fights Grendels mother he also boasted, Do not sorrow, wise king! It is better for man to avenge a friend than rue much...I promise you this: she will not escape to shelter...For this day, have intentness in each woe.
